Yvonne Strahovski / Chuck

So the TV show Chuck has been a guilty nerd pleasure of mine for the past few years. For those of you that are unfamiliar with the show, Chuck revolves around a under appreciated yet smart Sanford dropout working at an electronics store who ends up getting a government computer downloaded into his brain and well the problems and perks that follow.

The set up of this illustration is inspired by an old book cover I came across for Ian Fleming's Casino Royale.

This new piece is about professional athletes overacting to draw a penalty or foul from the other team ( taking a dive ).  It seemed to be one of the themes of this last hockey playoff season.  I was specifically inspired by this occurrence in the video link below when Subban took over acting to a new level against the Bruins in game 7.  Needless to say Subban's performance was hard top but I think I managed to go the extra mile.

Nickleson Wooster

So I came across this man because I am an avid reader of GQ in print and, and they constantly publish him as an example of great style.  He most recently held the position of men's Director at Neiman Marcus.

Needless to say I am a fan, and think he has a fearless creative vision.

Alkaline Trio

So I've been away from the internet for a week or so now but I haven't stopped working.  One of the pieces I worked on this week was a quick illustration for the band Alkaline Trio.

so I've finally moved into my new apartment with James Bascara. Unfortunately I'm Sans Internet for a couple days, on the plus side though I can finally set up all my stuff again and get back to illustration. So expect some updates soon.

Aside from that I finally ended up making a twitter account. Feel free to follow me @kylestecker
